A Quilt Tells Multicultural Stories

Ethnic community groups in Casey Victoria got together to share their stories about their personal journeys to Australia as migrants for artist Dena Al Jamal to transform these stories and ideas into a quilt artwork. This exciting art project will feature a multicoloured haired woman on the quilt that represent mothers from different cultural backgrounds, and it will be delivered in March next year.

We Celebrate Marriage Equality!

In one of the biggest events across Australia for 2017, the Australian Federal Parliament has passed the marriage equality law last Thursday. This historic moment follows the results of the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey on 15th November where 61.1% of Australians voted YES for marriage equality. Australia is the 26th country to have achieved marriage equality.
