Community Engagement Framework

Issue:
NSW Police Force required specialist support to assist them in developing a Community Engagement Framework that is relevant and meaningful for NSW Police staff, and for all members of the NSW community.

Solution:
DiverseWerks was engaged by NSW Police to ensure a meaningful consultative approach was applied to their community engagement framework project. We undertook contextual scoping via a desktop review of the current community engagement work undertaken by NSW Police and other similar agencies. A workshop was conducted with key senior NSW Police staff, and this was followed by a series of community sponsored, stakeholder focus groups. DiverseWerks then conducted an online survey with the wider community in NSW and developed a report which analysed the findings collected over the course of the project.

Results:
A comprehensive Community Engagement Framework has been developed, with the recommendations to be taken back to NSW Police for consideration and implementation.
