ACI wanted expert assistance to help them shape, direct, build on and strengthen their level of engagement with people from CALD backgrounds.
DiverseWerks provided consultancy services to ACI bringing our expertise to helping them:
- Understand the context in which ACI operates and how it prioritises diversity, including the levels of cultural engagement and competency among staff, barriers and opportunities.
- Provide cultural responsiveness training to ACI staff, stakeholders and local health district (LHD) representatives to improve their understanding of engagement with CALD communities.
- Develop a set of recommendations and a way forward for ACI to improve its cultural responsiveness and engagement with CALD communities.
A final report was produced which was designed to be a practical tool to assist ACI in developing processes to enhance engagement with multicultural communities and feel supported in such approaches.
