Senior Communications Consultant

Rekha joined Cultural Perspectives in 1998, and has gained invaluable on the job training and experience, and has developed a thorough understanding and knowledge of the area of multicultural marketing and strategic advice. As Senior Communications Consultant, Rekha is involved in the development and implementation of campaigns, including strategy, media planning, public relations activities and materials development. Rekha has managed many large and complex social marketing campaigns, and maintains strong client relationships. Her clients have included Federal Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Federal Department of Health and Aging, Australian Electoral Commission, Attorney Generals Department, Merck Sharpe and Dome, and NSW Office of Fair Trading, and numerous other clients across both the government and private sector.

Previous to joining Cultural Perspective, Rekha was a project Manager with Carnivale, responsible for the coordination of a range of state- wide multicultural festival events. Her areas of responsibility included promotion, publicity, and liaison between community groups, venues and government departments. She was also on the program editorial team. Rekha's work experience has involved working with a number of community radio stations, producing freelance stories for ABC Radio, and presenting on 2JJJ FM. Rekha has a Communications degree with a specialisation in media production.
