Confluence – The Festival of India 2017, returns during 23rd September – 29th October, celebrating everything about India across seven cities in Australia including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Bundaberg, and Townsville.
In its second year with a theme of ‘Seven Cities, Two Countries, Two Cultures, and One Festival”, Confluence presents an array of curated Indian art works of the highest calibre encompassing dance, music, theatre, puppetry, and cinema. The festival is committed to connecting Indian and Australian communities with artistic demonstrations that represent the essence of contemporary and classic Indian art as well as the convergence of Indian-Australian artistry.
One of our favourites is the free Bollywood Dance Workshop series. Learn some steps from some major Bollywood films from Guinness World Record of teaching the largest Bollywood Dance Class in Melbourne with 1325 dancers! Get some irrepressible Bollywood dance energy!
