“Constance on the Edge”, a finalist of the Documentary Australia Foundation Award for Australian Documentary – Sydney Film Festival 2016, explores the fundamental human question – “What does it take to belong?”.

Filmed over 10 years, this documentary is an unflinching portrayal of one family’s resettlement story in Australia. While the question around belonging is one we may never be able to answer, this film highlights the important role communities play in encouraging a sense of welcoming, healing and belonging. Stories like "Constance on the Edge" foster an understanding towards the experience of those who come to Australia as refugees and what they’ve been through to start a new life.
