Ferragosto, Sydney’s most loved Italian street festival, will be held along Great North Road in Five Dock on 20th August. In its 20th year, the festival showcases the best of Italian culture, entertainment and cooking with over 160 food, wine and merchandise stalls. Spectacular dance and music performances will wow the crowds across four different stages with event organisers expecting about 110,000 visitors to join the Italian carnival.
Despite the 2016 Census reporting a decrease in Australia’s Italian born community (by 10%), the Italian community still remains one of the longest established and settled communities in Australia. You won’t be disappointed about the authenticity of the food, culture, and products at Ferragosto!
