CIRCA is looking for an experienced researcher/evaluator to lead a small Sydney team of consultants, as well as a national network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) consultants and community researchers to deliver a diverse research and evaluation program.

About CIRCA :

CIRCA is a market leader in Indigenous and multilingual social and government research and evaluation.

Working with the Managing Director of the Cultural Perspectives Group, the Manager, Research & Evaluation will manage CIRCA’s diverse research and evaluation consulting portfolio. The Manager, Research & Evaluation will build and maintain client and community relationships. The Manager, Research & Evaluation will lead and collaborate with a highly accomplished team committed to best practice when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities.

 To be successful for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience leading a team to deliver concurrent multiple and complex social research and public policy evaluation projects, including managing large consultancy budgets

  • ·Ability to combine management with direct work on research and evaluation projects, with research project involvement being over 50% of the role

  • Experience in planning, managing and conducting evaluation, with strong monitoring and evaluation skills, both theoretical and applied, including an interest in new and innovative research and evaluation frameworks and approaches

  • ·High level social research (qualitative and/or quantitative), analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills, including the capacity to form and justify recommendations, strategies and initiatives. A public health research/evaluation background would be helpful

  • ·Integrity underpinned by cultural respect and applied understanding of historical, socioeconomic and systemic issues experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities

  • Capacity to develop and sustain strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD stakeholders, communities and senior executives in the public and private sector

  • Demonstrated capacity to provide strategic and collaborative leadership, with a focus on skills and professional development and supporting team members at all levels

  • ·Demonstrated ability to build strong and collegial client relationships

  • Demonstrated track record in successful competitive tendering in a commercial setting, and capacity to identify new business opportunities
