To welcome the year of rooster, Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has launched a Chinese New Year-themed train on the North-East Line, running from 15th January to 11th February. The train compartment interior incorporates key cultural elements for this New Year including roosters, traditional Chinese couplets, Chinese character of “fortune” (printed upside down), plum blossoms, and gold coins.
