Welcome to Cultural Perspectives
Thank you for working with and supporting Cultural Perspectives (CP). This document has useful information about working together.
Your primary contact will be the CP staff member who gave you this information. They can help answer questions you might have.
If you need any extra support to work with CP, please let your primary contact know. They can help organise the support you need.
What we expect of you
Respect
It is important that you respect those around you. This includes being polite and respectful to CP staff and others. We will not accept disrespectful behaviour.
Being aware of project start and end times
Please arrive on time. Delays affect the schedule of a project. If you are going to be late, please let your primary contact know.
Professional representation
Please dress in a presentable and tidy manner suited to your work. This includes wearing clothes with no visible logos and using safety equipment. Your primary contact will let you know at your briefing meeting about the types of clothes you need to wear.
Flexibility and awareness
Project requirements can change quickly. We ask that you keep aware and stay in touch with your primary contact. This includes checking your emails and phone.
Positive attitude
A positive and friendly attitude is important when you interact with the public, other suppliers and CP staff.
Team player
It is important to keep aware of project requirements. We may need you to help with other parts of the project depending on how much time we have. This might include help to set up and pack down a project.
What you can expect of us
Clear briefings
We will arrange a clear, detailed brief on your role for the project. This includes key messaging, background and the expected outcomes of your engagement. We will send you this brief by email or share it with you in a meeting.
Collaboration
You should expect us to treat you as a part of a collaborative team. We will value your input on what is or is not working on the ground.
Support
You should expect us to guide and support you when dealing with difficult situations. This includes support to ensure the overall success and safety of a project.
Payment
You must give us your invoice and relevant information before we can pay you. Once we receive your invoice and relevant information, we will pay you in the next pay run.
Your personal details for payment
Upon working with CP, we will email you a link to complete our online Casual Employees or Contractor Details Form. This form collects your personal details for payment purpose and tax status.
If you have an ABN, your onboarding is complete.
If you do not have an ABN:
- you will receive an email with information from CanYou, our payroll management system
- you must provide us with your TFN and superannuation details for payment purposes. When you complete the TFN Declaration, please select Casual employment
- tax will be taken from your final payment amount.
CP is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We will store your information safely for administrative purposes only. CP is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the national Privacy Act 1988. CP is also compliant with the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012.
How we pay you
In order to get payment from us, you must send an invoice to CP.
- If you have an ABN and are registered for GST, you must send us a tax invoice.
- If you have an ABN and are not registered for GST, you must send us an invoice (without tax).
- If you do not have an ABN and have given us your TFN, you must send us an invoice.
After your work with us is complete, we will email you all the information you need to include in your invoice. You will receive this information either in the email or in a payment summary document. The email will also include the following documents:
- an example of what the tax invoice or invoice should look like
- helpful hints for creating your invoice.
Modern Slavery Prevention
We are committed to preventing forced labour, child labour or any form of slavery. As part of your work with CP, you must take steps to make sure modern slavery is not happening in:
- your service delivery
- the supply chain you use to deliver services to us.
During your work with CP, if you become aware of any potential modern slavery activity you must report it to us right away. You can download and use the case note template to make a report.
You can also download a copy of CP’s Anti-Modern Slavery Policy.
