Rebecca was born in Singapore, where she spent her time exploring her interests in humanities and the arts, previously studying a diploma in Arts and Theatre Management. Eventually, she decided to shift fields and pursue a Communications degree in Perth, Western Australia. Following her graduation, Rebecca has since moved to Sydney permanently to fulfill her aspirations of becoming a skilled public relations and communications professional.

Rebecca has worked in cross-border communications and consumer PR agencies, where she serviced global clients from the APAC and EMEA regions. These include businesses and corporations across the financial services, real estate, private assets solutions, lifestyle and technology sectors. In these roles, Rebecca developed key skills such as media monitoring, copywriting, media pitching, and market research.

As a PR Account Executive at Cultural Perspectives Group, Rebecca’s role focuses primarily on writing tailored content for different audiences and media channels, assisting the team in editing and proofreading communications material across government, private and community sectors. She also supports media outreach and monitoring, stakeholder engagement and research initiatives to inform ongoing government campaigns.

Some of Rebecca’s key achievements include the following:

  • Liaising with journalists from tier 1 and 2 publications to arrange strategic media engagements for client announcements. Some examples include facilitating the launch of strategic announcements such as Beerfarm’s acquisition of Feral Brewing and arranging interviews for HSBC’s leaders during the Singapore Fintech Festival.

  • Supporting in landing news stories for clients in leading news outlets such as the Australian Financial Review, Capital Brief, and The Australian.

  • Writing copy for co-authored thought leadership articles, social media, internal newsletters, stakeholder notes, press releases and other key communications material.
