Professional summary

Since joining Cultural Perspectives in 2023, Sammy brought a combination of linguistic expertise, cultural sensitivity and digital production capability to the team. Originally from South Korea, Sammy moved to Australia in 2017 and developed a strong understanding of multicultural communications, underpinned by her professional training in translation and interpreting, as well as her experience teaching English at a North Korean refugee school.

Sammy plays a key role in supporting the delivery of large-scale, multilingual campaigns for multiple clients in the public and private sectors. Her responsibilities span translation management, production coordination, content adaptation and in-house language support, particularly for the Korean-speaking community engagement. She is committed to quality assurance, utilising her meticulous attention to detail to ensure that campaign outputs consistently meet both strategic and cultural objectives.

Production

Sammy supported the end-to-end production of multilingual campaigns, including talent coordination, production scheduling and quality assurance across creative outputs.

  • Contributed to the production and translation of advertising assets across 36 languages for the 2025 Federal Election campaign

  • Developed project resources and social media content for campaigns targeting CALD communities, ensuring accessibility and message consistency for the 2024 Medicare Urgent Care Clinic campaign, translated into 20 languages

  • Managed audio production for the Child Safety campaign, coordinating voice recordings and translations in 23 languages

  • Supported advertising and resource production for the 2023 Voice Referendum campaign, delivering outputs across 36 language groups.

Translation management

Sammy managed complex campaign translation workflows and ensured timely delivery while maintaining consistency and high visual and linguistic quality across all deliverables.

  • Oversaw the translation of the AEC’s Official Guide for the 2025 Federal Election campaign, delivered in 34 languages

  • Coordinated the end-to-end translation process for the Consent campaign, including translation into 16 languages

  • Liaised with the translation team and internal team members to maintain high translation standards and consistency.

CALD adaptation of mainstream content

Sammy played a central role in adapting mainstream campaign content to resonate with CALD audiences to spread the campaign's key messages efficiently.

  • Edited the mainstream conversation guide for the Consent campaign into a culturally tailored version for CALD audiences, ensuring accessibility and relevance across 16 language groups

  • Provided cultural insights to ensure adapted materials were contextually appropriate and resonated with CALD audiences for the Korean social media assets for the Smartraveller campaign.
