NATIONAL CONSULTATIONS
Issue:
NAATI needed to determine the response of their key stakeholders and practitioners to a significant research report into the credentialing of NAATI interpreters and translators.
Solution:
DiverseWerks was engaged by NAATI to develop a discussion paper, and run a series of facilitated national consultative forums. Cultural Perspectives Group Managing Director, Pino Migliorino, facilitated twenty forums held across Australia to discuss a DiverseWerks’ discussion paper on the Report’s 17 recommendations.
Results:
The success of the consultations were acknowledged in the active participation of more than 400 stakeholders and practitioners.
DiverseWerks delivered a comprehensive consultation report in July 2013 and a modified model of interpreter and translator testing which was considered by the NAATI board.
The success of this work was a key component underpinning ongoing efforts to make major improvements to the business.
