Since joining Cultural Perspectives in 2004, Deanna has played a pivotal role in managing the organisation’s financial and operational functions. With a career spanning several decades across both New Zealand and Australia, she brings a wealth of experience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of business operations.

Deanna started her career as a typist with large corporations and government departments but found smaller agencies provided a broader view of the different areas of a business. Deanna demonstrated strong skills in both Accounting and IT and so pursued further education by completing a Certificate in IT and Certificate in Accounting through TAFE.

At Cultural Perspectives, she leads the company’s financial strategy and compliance obligations, offering both operational and strategic support. During her time at Cultural Perspectives, Deanna has overseen the implementation of the Xero accounting system and collaborated on the implementation of Workflow Max and the integration of both systems to support and improve both the financial and project management processes of the company.

At the end of 2024 Deanna co-ordinated a company-wide synchronisation of employment agreements reviewing the applicable Modern Awards and ensuring the company remains compliant with employment practices and conditions.

Deanna is also responsible for the contract administration and review, human resources, corporate administration, and the implementation of operational processes for the company. Her attention to detail and structured approach have been integral to the company’s long-term stability and effectiveness.

Deanna also serves as Cultural Perspectives’ Privacy Officer, overseeing data protection and privacy compliance in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
