Professional summary
Gabriel is a cross-cultural creative professional with over seven years of experience in graphic design, web development and communication design across corporate, education and advertising sectors. His work spans multilingual campaigns and a diverse print and digital portfolio focused on health communications, publishing and multicultural engagement.
Born in Mexico City, Gabriel has lived and studied in China and now resides in Sydney, Australia. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, leveraging his language skills and cultural fluency in his design work.
Gabriel began his career in corporate design at the China Chamber of Commerce and Technology in Mexico, before receiving a scholarship to study in Xi’an, China, where he completed a course on Chinese Language and Culture. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Design.
After graduating in 2019, he continued his Australian design career at the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership, where he contributed to corporate branding and web design.
He later joined Times Education Group Australia, where he led the development of visual assets across digital, print and web formats. At MultiConnexions Group, Gabriel created multilingual digital campaigns for renowned brands, such as Medibank, and developed multicultural assets for diverse language audiences, adapting content for clients including Volvo, Sydney Metro and Telstra.
In 2024, Gabriel joined DBG Health, contributing to Australia’s pharmaceutical and primary healthcare sector. There, he designed nationwide marketing assets for Chemist Discount and designed for EasyClinic health campaigns focused on chronic disease awareness, including diabetes care.

Beyond his professional practice, Gabriel is deeply passionate about painting and Chinese calligraphy.
As an entrepreneur, he created Paper Waves Books, a publishing initiative that produces multilingual poetry, art and humanities books in Spanish, English, Mandarin Chinese, Nahuatl and more. His first publication, The Songs of Birds 鸟之歌, has been exhibited in China and Australia, including at the Australian National University’s IMMERSIA 2023, the XVI Biennial AILASA Conference 2024 and presented to UNESCO’s delegates in China.
