Misbah is a Project Officer under the Engagement team at Cultural Perspectives. Her personal and professional practice is driven by her passion for community growth and grassroots initiatives. She facilitated the podcast and influencer partnerships for Youth Vaping phase 2 with her industry-level audio-visual production experience.
Misbah’s extensive media background and writing skills helped her co-develop various multicultural strategies for clients. She channelled her passion for disability advocacy in creating a diversity strategy for Settlement Services International (SSI), with a special focus on CALD carers and human rights model of disability. Misbah’s critical thinking abilities helps her identify gaps in community outreach and its significance to multicultural strategies.
Passionate about gender studies, Misbah also worked as a casual academic at the University of Sydney. Her academic practice centres on the lived experiences of marginalised communities and their role in knowledge production. In her spare time, Misbah organises film screenings of international cinema in Sydney.
