An Engaged 2022 and beyond

Predicting the future has always been a challenge, and never more so than in the post-Pandemic age. However, there are some strong trends and forecasts in the sector that give us a peek into what the future could hold for multicultural engagement. As the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) population continues to grow in Australia, many are recognising this in their evolving audience and developing CALD client bases.

Thus, the importance for culturally competent service delivery, organisational development and systemic considerations enhances. Throughout this year our team have provided a suite of cultural competency services to organisations. From bespoke training, in-depth systemic reviews and resource development, the following is a peak into what we’ve provided:

  • Cultural Competency Training Packages – our team have had the privilege in producing bespoke, tailored training packages to clients across a number of policy areas covering – legal, disability, and communications.

  • Cultural Competency Reviews – this year we’ve undertaken comprehensive cultural competency reviews on behalf of organisations. In doing so, we have performed systemic, organisational, professional, and individual reviews to provide organisations with an in-depth analysis to understand their delivery of culturally competent practice.

  • Practical Tips Documents – we have had several opportunities to create a number of practical toolkits for clients to guide staff on inclusive and CALD appropriate practices.

To our Engagement Team, cultural competence allows us to build relationships, demonstrate understanding and effectively engage across cultures. We hope to build on this service delivery into the new year and bring you new opportunities for meaningful engagement.
