Brisbane’s famous Paniyiri Greek Festival is back this coming weekend, celebrating everything Greek and the cultural diversity in Queensland. Established in 1976, the festival has become the state’s longest running Greek Festival and a signature event in Brisbane, Queensland.

Head down to Musgrave Park to see the wonderful Hellenic dancers celebrating the 40th anniversary of this famed festival, eat your way through a big Greek food fair with over 30 stalls, and meet celebrity chefs and Greek cooks to learn some new cooking tips. This is an absolute must event for your family.

Cultural Perspectives participated in the Paniyiri Greek Festival in 2013 on behalf of the Department of Communications, ensuring the community in Brisbane were aware of and prepared for the Retune.

We hosted a Retune information stand in partnership with SBS Radio, gathered vox pops from the local community and broadcast on the SBS Greek program to drive awareness of the final step in Australia’s move to digital-only TV.

The Greek podcast is still available at http://www.sbs.com.au/yourlanguage/greek/el/content/i-aystralia-epanaprosdiorizei-tis-syhnotites-psifiakon-kanalion?language=el
