The 2018 Chinese New Year Lantern Festival is announced today to launch on 22-26 February 2018 in celebration of the year of dog, free entry.

In its fourth year, the Lantern Festival at Darling Harbour has become a signature Chinese community event in Sydney, attracting about 150,000 visitors annually. The festival features more than 150 lantern installations designed and handcrafted in Zi Gong, famed as “Lantern Town”, and shipped to Australia from China each year.

This year will be even bigger, with lantern displays, arts performances on four stages, Chinese Kung Fu shows from Shaolin Temple, and a Lunar Market, celebrating everything about dogs.

The Chinese New Year Lantern Festival is organised by the Australia China Economics, Trade & Culture Association and presented by Nanhai Media Group.
