Cultural Perspectives Group attended the 2017 Australian Multicultural Marketing Awards Ceremony at the Sydney Opera House last night where the winners of ten award categories were announced.
SBS was a big winner, claiming two awards including the Communities Award for its Lunar New Year 2017 project and the Youth Award for the SBS National Languages Competition. The Communication Award went to the Monkeys for its campaign “Celebrate Australia” that brings people together over lamb during the Australia Day period.
This year’s awards have seen many big brand names with a lot of creative campaigns and programs, which have increased the competitiveness and value of the awards. This means more and more businesses are becoming aware of the significance of speaking to the diverse communities in Australia and getting into the multicultural communication space. We look forward to seeing a lot more wonderful and innovative works from the industry in the years to come!
