The AFL has named Gary Lee, a Malaysian migrant, its AFL Multicultural Community Ambassador of the Year for his work introducing new Australians to the game.
As an AFL multicultural community ambassador, Mr Lee has worked on breaking down cultural barriers and stereotypes, fostering harmony and bringing together diverse communities.
